Use of diisocyanates restricted under REACH

The restriction on the use of Diisocyantes has come into effect in the EU from 24 August. Diisocyanates are respiratory and skin sensitizers. They are used in the production of polyurethane products including foams, adhesives, sealants and coatings. ECHA have published a list of authorisations, and highlighted potential substitute substances including for NPE and OPE surfactants including Tritons.
