On 1 July, the Regulatory Affairs Working Party met during a blended meeting to consider and learn about the enormous shifts in IVD regulation taking place. Over 100 attendees joined online or in-person, making it a record attendance in the group’s history.
On the agenda were developments such as the newly published MHRA consultation responses on the UK medical devices regime, the recent application of IVDR legislation, the potential impact of the Northern Ireland Protocol Bill, REACH and activities in MedTech Europe working groups.
This was the first RAWP meeting with Stuart Angell acting as Chair. Stuart has 20+ years experience in IVD regulation, consultancy and will be taking the Working Party forward through the evolving regulatory landscape, we are delighted to welcome him in the new role. We also send our thanks to Richard Saunders for his excellent term as the previous Working Party Chair.
