BIVDA takes part in the monthly MHRA/Trade Association meeting which allows for open dialogue between everyone involved. Recently, this has been focussed on the ongoing regulatory changes in the UK. This meeting is BIVDA’s opportunity to raise any concerns from members and get key insight into the regulatory changes in the UK.
The last meeting was on 2 December, providing an overview of the MHRA intentions going forward. They confirmed that they received approximately 900 responses to their consultation and have formed teams internally to review each of these. In parallel, MHRA will be setting up focus groups for stakeholders to continue to discuss expectations and iron out the new regulatory landscape.
We intend to be involved in these meetings, which will begin in the coming weeks. Feedback to our response to the MHRA consultation would be welcome to ensure we continue to accurately represent members views, particularly in areas of strong divergence.
