As we near the end of National Inclusion Week 2023 (25th of September to the 1st of October) it is important to understand why Diversity and Inclusion matter in the workplace.
Many companies have recognised that Diversity and Inclusion are simply the ‘right thing to do’, while also benefiting from an inclusive environment and culture. The moral, social, and business cases for diversity and inclusion at work are compelling; equal access to, and opportunity at work is simply the right thing to do for individuals and society; and makes sense for businesses too.
The 2020 McKinsey research report ‘Diversity Wins’ highlights the strength of the business case for diversity by showing how top performing organisations are the most diverse in terms of their employee base.
