Social Value in Tenders – Member Survey

By June 30, 2023No Comments

Social Value is now a least 10% of the score in public procurement tenders, which can be the differentiational factor in winning a bid. We know members are seeing various questions, requirements and evaluation models from contracting authorities.

BIVDA is part of the NHS England Project Athena: Health Sector Social Value Engagement.

The purpose of the project is to more deeply understand the current state of the adoption of the Social Value Model Across the NHS.

They want to work together to define the needs of both buyers and suppliers to scale the value to the community and environment through the established policy.

At the Sustainability Seminar on 22nd June, we had a workshop session to explore some of the challenges and look at both best practice and opportunities for improvements. This was a really positive session and provided some good insight into members experiences with contractual Social Value.

We want to represent as many of our members’ experiences and suggestions as possible to Project Athena and ensure that the needs of our membership are expressed and heard.

Please take a few moments to complete this survey by Friday 7th July so we have the results before the next Project Athena Meeting.

You can find the survey here.
