REMINDER: Submissions from members welcomed for the Future Cancer Inquiry

By April 6, 2023No Comments

The Future Cancer Inquiry, led by the Health and Social Care Committee, is closing soon (26/4/23) and members are encouraged to submit their cancer diagnostic innovations to us so that we can include them in our submission.

The inquiry will look at the innovations with the greatest potential to transform cancer diagnosis and treatment for patients in the short, medium and long term, and it will examine how innovations in diagnosing and treating cancer can best be transitioned into frontline clinical settings.

Some, or all, of the questions below need to be answered for the submission:

  • What are the innovations with the greatest potential to transform cancer diagnosis and treatment in the short, medium and long term?
  • How best can innovations in diagnosing and treating cancer be transitioned into frontline clinical settings?
  • What can be learnt about innovative cancer diagnosis and treatment from international examples of best practice?
  • To what extent is workforce planning keeping up with innovations in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer?
  • Is the impact of innovations in cancer diagnosis and treatment on health inequalities being sufficiently taken into account?

Please send your submissions, or any further questions, to ben@bivda.org.uk.
