National Social Value Conference 2022 and Social Value Awards – 27th and 28th April 2022

The Social Value Portal are hosting their National Conference next week. There is a varied and interesting agenda over the two days.

Day one: Networking Day at the Church House Westminster venue in London, live streamed sessions online for those that can’t be there in-person.

Day two: All online. Series of virtual breakout sessions will cover topics from embedding social value into planning, to delivering on climate justice and the zero-carbon agenda.

Of particular interest are the following sessions on Day Two which may interest BIVDA members: –

Case Studies – Suppliers: Social Value is now a given in both local and central government procurements. What does this mean and what do you need to do to win work. This session is aimed at business looking to understand the simple steps they need to take to win more work with government. It will cover the National TOMs and the Social Value Model

14.00 – 15.00

Delivering Climate Justice: Social justice is intrinsic to climate action. There is both urgency – it’s Code RED – but also agency. We can make a difference. This session looks at practical examples of how a social value perspective can be used to drive the climate agenda forward.

15.00 – 16.30

Integrating Social Value in the Health Sector: Change is coming to the health sector. The NHS has mandated social value in procurement from 1st April 2022. NHS E&I and SVP have been collaborating on a social value calculator for the NHS based on the National TOMs and the Social Value Model.
