BIVDA has published a position paper outlining the challenges and issues related to the unsustainable zero inflation policy of the NHS and other public bodies.
Cost pressures that are affecting the global and domestic economies and the cost-of-living increases for consumers are also affecting UK businesses, and it is clear that this is reaching the point that members cannot absorb all the costs whilst the NHS continues to refuse cost increases.
As an industry we are proud of the commitment to the NHS and delivering value for clinicians and patients over many years and will continue to do so.
This position statement relies on good faith from everyone and we would urge members to be as open and transparent as possible with customers who are facing the same pressures and to approach price increases with care.
