Earth Day 2023 takes place tomorrow 22 April, and we at BIVDA wholeheartedly support the campaign’s ambition to foster a greener, more sustainable economy.
This year’s theme is ‘Invest in Our Planet’ which is focused on engaging the more than 1 billion people, governments, institutions, and businesses who participate in Earth Day to recognise our collective responsibility and to help accelerate the transition to an equitable, prosperous green economy for all.
At BIVDA we are taking action to support members to become more sustainable and ensure they comply with NHS Net Zero requirements now and in future.
Our Sustainability Lead, Sarah Joy Newton, has helped enormously in this endeavour, particularly through hosting regular seminars, webinars and the establishment of the Sustainability Hub for members.
This is also a good opportunity to highlight Sarah’s webinar on 2 May between 10:30 – 11:00 which will help members to navigate the Sustainability Hub. You can sign-up here.
We have also formulated our own carbon reduction plan and aim to improve our green credentials year on year.
