BIVDA was pleased to hold its second annual Sustainability Seminar this Thursday 9 June, and the event featured the launch of the BIVDA Sustainability Hub for members to access! The work on the Hub has been led by BIVDA’s Sustainability Programme Lead, Sarah Joy Newton and we are proud to see it go live on the BIVDA site, accessed via the members area page.

The Hub will be a vital go-to for our IVD company members who are working to reach all-important NHS Net Zero requirements and transform business operations to reflect ‘greener’ practices and a greater focus on social value. It is easy to navigate, with a colourful and engaging design made up of information blocks that carry members through to more detailed content on particular topics. The Hub includes the following subjects:

  • NHS Net Zero terminology and guidance
  • The Evergreen Framework and PPN06/21
  • Tender Response support & examples
  • Social value procurement requirements
  • Social value evaluation models
  • Modern slavery and labour standards
  • Webinars & training (incl. content from last year’s SGS training sessions)

We welcome any feedback on the Hub, it is an evolving and member-focussed resource that will see further elements added and updated as time goes by, and as new requirements/NHS information are released.

Please ensure you follow the Sustainability section of BIVDA’s Weekly Newsletter (under the Working Party tab) in order to keep updated on any additional info to the Hub, and general sustainability news and events.
