BIVDA hold member briefing in preparation for upcoming roundtable with Andrew Gwynne MP

By October 7, 2022No Comments

Member companies were today walked through the agenda for the IVD roundtable in preparation for the event with Shadow Public Health Minister Andrew Gwynne MP, which is being held on 19 October.

This event forms a key part of engagement with the Shadow Government and allows BIVDA and our member companies to gain a greater understanding of the Labour Party’s health priorities and policy proposals if they were to gain power at the next election.

The event will also allow Andrew Gwynne MP to ask questions about the IVD industry and what the sector can offer the Opposition to fulfil their health plans. This will be fed back to the wider Shadow Health team, led by Shadow Secretary of State for Health and Social Care Wes Streeting MP.

Mr Gwynne has consistently spoken on health issues during his time in Parliament and has recently discussed his debilitating battle with long COVID.
