Natalie and Sarah Joy were proud to represent BIVDA at the Memcom awards on Tuesday this week at the Hilton Bankside in London.
BIVDA were nominated for awards in 2 categories.
- Best Trade Association
- Sustainability Award
The awards were hosted by the fabulous stand-up comedian Lucy Porter who was entertaining and engaging.
Unfortunately, we didn’t win – as the competition was strong – with the British Coatings Association prevailing in the Best Trade Association category, while the Royal Society of Psychiatrists won the Sustainability Award.
We were nonetheless extremely proud to have been shortlisted alongside many other reputable organisations and that our strong work was recognised.
We were delighted to be seated next to the team at One Great George Street, who sometimes host BIVDA events.
They won the award for best venue and significantly were commended on their drive to deliver sustainable events, which is something we are working on at BIVDA.
Memcom themselves also try to deliver their events sustainably. The dinner menu was a delicious vegetarian offering that would have significantly reduced the environmental impact of such a large event.
