Doris-Ann was delighted to participate in a round table discussion in Parliament this summer organised by Lumira Diagnostics. This, together with a number of interviews, has resulted in a paper, Testing Times which is available on the BIVDA website (link below).
The report outlines the role of rapid diagnostics in tackling antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and identifies barriers to their uptake in primary and community care. This is another foundation stone on work highlighting the need for diagnostics to tackle AMR, Sepsis and improved management of infection.
The Infection Management Coalition is also going from strength to strength with the four pillars recommended in the white paper this year being covered in a briefing given to a senior WHO official and plans for building on the paper further with a round table in early November.
