The BIVDA Madden Room will soon be upgraded to include a high-performance AV/VC suite which will be available to members to book and use as well as enable BIVDA to host our working party meetings in a blended manner.
Over the past months, we have been communicating our future approach to meetings to members that we intend to adopt a hybrid/blended approach.
As we reach the end of 2021, and move into 2022, there still isn’t any real understanding of the new normal, and if or when it starts.
BIVDA has therefore invested in a high-performance AV/VC solution for our main meeting room following a competitive tendering exercise that was approved by the Executive Board, and plans are in place to begin the installation.
We hope that this will be in place towards the end of January, early February. Supply chain constraints allowing of course. Until then, our meetings will continue to be on TEAMS for those wishing to dial in, and also some are to be hosted in person for those of you who want to attend in person.
As part of this, we have reviewed our working party meeting schedule and whilst more information will be provided through the newsletter and through the working parties directly, the schedule for 2022 is planned in advance and dates will shortly be loaded into EVENTBRITE

Each working party is expected to be held in the BIVDA offices unless numbers are over 24 in person and then they will be held off site.
There is a working party seminar in planning (early days) that is pencilled in for 11 October 2022. If this is finalised, then each working party 3rd meeting will be off site in the morning prior to the MGM.
In person meetings are important to maintain for BIVDA and many members, so we would encourage members to attend in person whenever possible within any rules that may be applied with regards to Covid-19 safety. Some important meetings for policy and positioning are scheduled as in person only to deliver outcomes.
All the best laid plans may be subject to change and there are many factors to consider in a year!
