The A4I programme, developed by Innovate UK, aims to help boost a company’s productivity or competitiveness. It is focused on helping individual companies solve tricky and perhaps long running technical problems affecting existing processes. It achieves this by bringing the UK’s top scientists and facilities, often otherwise inaccessible, together with companies to address problems in innovative ways.
This includes the National Measurement Lab (NML) who, as part of the programme, are offering their state-of-the-art facilities and world class expertise to businesses. Their laboratories, recognised world-wide for analysis and measurement, can be used to address current analysis or measurement problems with an existing product, process, or service.
It is worth noting that only an initial problem statement is required at this time, and we would encourage any businesses in two minds to apply, give themselves the opportunity to discuss their measurement problem with our experts, and then make a decision as to whether to take a project forward.
For those who would like to find out more, a briefing is being held by the KTN next Tuesday, 26 July.
See the A4I website for further details.
