We have just heard that NICE have announced the appointment of Dr Samantha Roberts as the next Chief Executive from February 2022.
The current CEO, Gill Leng is retiring after 20 years at NICE and was BIVDA’s first contact with NICE in early discussions back in 2008 about the evaluation of IVDs.
Sam Roberts was the original head of the Accelerated Access Collaborative and worked really closely with Doris-Ann in the first 4 months of the pandemic in 2020 so we already have a good relationship with her and she understands the many challenges that the evaluation and adoption of IVDs face.
