In March, Doris-Ann participated in a round table for the Academy of Medical Sciences (AMS)on building on the pandemic to produce a sustainable UK Diagnostics sector. They have now published a report on this which you can download here. Doris-Ann’s role specifically was to bring the industry viewpoint alongside speakers including Prof Dame Sue Hill & Prof Dame Anna Dominiczak.
The AMS report makes another contribution to how learnings from the COVID-19 pandemic for the benefit of the wider diagnostics sector. The Academy is a well respected group of scientists & clinicians so it is fantastic that they are continuing to work on diagnostics as a priority topic. Their next event being a free, public digital FORUM symposium on Diagnostics: Building capacity and capability in the UK, taking place from 13.00 to 17.00 on Tuesday 12 October 2021.
