The Medical Devices and Clinical Consumables Contingency Planning team would like to share with you these slides which summarise the key changes to border controls for importing products from the EU into Great Britain from 1 January 2022.
The slides include specific information and actions for medical suppliers to be aware of and set out where you can access further guidance and support.
They would also like to take this opportunity to highlight the announcement made by Government on 15 December in which Government confirmed that these changes will not apply to goods moving from the island of Ireland directly to Great Britain. Goods that move from the island of Ireland directly to Great Britain will continue to do so on the basis of the arrangements that apply currently, until further notice; and will not, for now, be affected by the changes being introduced on 1 January 2022 for all other inbound goods.
