EFLM has launched the EFLM Certification for Green and Sustainable Laboratories.
In line with the European Green Deal, the EFLM Executive Board established the EFLM Task Force “Green and Sustainable Labs” in November 2021. The task force aims that EFLM should lead the way in implementing sustainable practices in clinical and medical laboratories in Europe.
The goal is to transform 15,000 Clinical Laboratories in 49 EFLM member societies in Pan-Europe into safe and sustainable environments. This will be achieved by implementing day-to-day actions in laboratories, and taking steps to minimize energy, water, hazardous chemical use, and waste generation without compromising the quality of healthcare.
Applications are accepted from medical and clinical laboratories worldwide. More information and registration can be found here.
