ECHA has published their latest weekly update (24 May).
Due to changes in the structure of ECHA’s updates, we can no longer link to updates themselves. To ensure BIVDA members continue to receive this information, we have opted to provide the full ECHA notification.
The latest update to the International Uniform Chemical Information Database (IUCLID) reflects the amended information requirements for registering chemicals under the REACH Regulation. The updated formats and completeness check rules support companies in reporting their compliance with the REACH requirements.
The new IUCLID release includes improvements for Substances of Concern in Products (SCIP) database users. These include an update of the article category picklist and mixture category list as well as further technical updates.
QSAR Toolbox 4.6 enhances connectivity with IUCLID, increases capacity to use external models and improves access to information about tested substances in ECHA’s chemicals database.
We have published the first batch of non-confidential comments received from the public for the universal PFAS restriction proposal. We will continue to publish them on our website on a regular basis.
You can still have your say until 25 September 2023.
The five national authorities as dossier submitters and ECHA’s scientific committees will reply to the comments in due course.
Report for the following substance group is now available on our website:
If you have questions or feedback related to the assessment work, you can send them to us through this webform.
We are looking for comments on the harmonised classification and labelling (CLH) proposals for:
- 1-amino-4-hydroxy-2-phenoxyanthraquinone (EC 241-442-6, CAS 17418-58-5)
- dimethachlor (ISO); 2-chloro-N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)-N-(2-methoxyethyl)acetamide (EC 256-625-6, CAS 50563-36-5)
1-amino-4-hydroxy-2-phenoxyanthraquinone is a dye substance found in textiles, but also in polymers and inks and dimethachlor (ISO); 2-chloro-N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)-N-(2-methoxyethyl)acetamide is a plant protection substance.
For dimethachlor (ISO); 2-chloro-N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)-N-(2-methoxyethyl)acetamide, the proposal format combines the draft (renewal) assessment report prepared according to the Plant Protection Products Regulation and the proposal for CLH under the CLP regulation. For additional information, consult the Commission’s Guidelines on Active Substances and Plant Protection Products.
For more information on this active substance and on the studies included in the CLH report, consult the draft assessment report on the European Food Safety Authority’s consultation website.
Have your say by 21 July 2023.
