Integrated Regulatory Strategy annual report
Assessing chemicals in groups has continued to speed up identification of substances for which regulatory risk management may be required. In 2022 EU authorities opened assessments of 2 000 substances in 61 groups.
RAC opinions on restriction proposals available
We have published opinions of the Committee for Risk Assessment on restriction proposals for:
N,N-dimethylacetamide (DMAC) and 1-ethylpyrrolidin-2-one (NEP) (EC: -) submitted by the Netherlands

New intentions and proposals to harmonise classification and labelling
One proposal has been submitted for:
• Acetophenone (EC 202-708-7, CAS 98-86-2)
Consultations on harmonised classification and labelling
We are looking for comments on the harmonised classification and labelling (CLH) proposal for:
- N-1,3-dimethylbutyl-N’-phenyl-p-phenylenediamine (EC 212-344-0, CAS 793-24-8)
- thymol; 5-methyl-2-(propan-2-yl)phenol (EC 201-944-8, CAS 89-83-8)
For thymol; 5-methyl-2-(propan-2-yl)phenol, the proposal format combines the draft (renewal) assessment report prepared according to the Plant Protection Products Regulation and the proposal for CLH under the CLP regulation. For additional information, consult the European Commission’s Guidelines on Active Substances and Plant Protection Products.

SCIP Database
New IUCLID service release for SCIP users
A new service release of IUCLID 6 includes improvements and fixes that are relevant to SCIP users. These include among others:
- Alignment of the validation assistant with the official Candidate List update on 14 June.
A fix on the user interface view of the mixture category (no impact on the format).
