NICE will shortly commence a 2-week consultation with registered stakeholders about the need to update a number of guidelines related to fluid therapy in children and young people.
The consultation will be open from Wednesday 3rd August until Friday 19th August 2022.
The consultation will consider these areas of guidance related to our sector:
- Sepsis: Recognition, diagnosis and early management NICE guideline NG51 (July 2016)
- Diarrhoea and vomiting caused by gastroenteritis in under 5s: Diagnosis and management NICE guideline CG84 (April 2009)
- Meningitis (bacterial) and meningococcal septicaemia in under 16s: Recognition, diagnosis and management NICE guideline CG102 (June 2010)
- Diabetes (type 1 and type 2) in children and young people: Diagnosis and management NICE guideline NG18 (August 2015)
