The UK Government is consolidating the sanctions lists impacting exports. Generally IVD products are not directly impacted, but any items considered dual use (having encryption software etc.) can be impacted.

Sanctions on Russia and Belarus have had an indirect impact in terms of impacting banking and legal services in support of IVD sales to Russia, and for companies getting payment in return of goods back out of Russia.


Moving to a single list for UK sanctions designations – 28 January 2026

The OFSI Consolidated List of Asset Freeze Targets is closing. From 09:00 GMT on Wednesday 28 January 2026 the UK Sanctions List will be the only source for all UK sanctions designations. There will be no changes to the structure of the current UK Sanctions ListGuidance has been published to help you prepare for the change.

You should use this period before January 2026 to prepare any systems for the formal closure of the OFSI Consolidated List.
