Dear Members,
Update below from MedTech Europe that the inclusion of UV328 in EU POPs regulation has been published in the OJEC. Note that EU POP regulation applies also in Northern Ireland. I anticipate a further update from HSE as to the inclusion of UV328 under UK POPs regulation.
Dear members,
I hope you are all well.
We are writing to inform you that the EU delegated act implementing the Stockholm Convention decision on UV-328 has just been published in the EU Official Journal (link).
This step now concludes the adoption process of the draft decision. The act that was published today states that it will enter into force on the twentieth day following the EU OJ publication, which means as of 4 August 2025. There are no further changes to the text compared to the revised version we saw at the scrutiny and as communicated to members in May.
We invite members again to review the threshold and other exemptions for e.g. spare parts and/or legacy devices. We also recall that there is generally a 6-month grace period, as prescribed under the EU POPs Regulation.
Please note that we expect the Dechlorane Plus delegated act to be published in the EU OJ in the next few weeks as well and we will confirm to members when this has been done.
