The application form for the NIHR Horizon Scanning Call has been launched. The successful company will be provided with funds for a new iteration of the NIHR Horizon Scanning Centre centre, worth up to £22 million for a period of 5 years (with a review built into year 3).
The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) has funded a horizon scanning centre consistently over approximately 30 years to provide support to health technology assessment and to alert the health and care system to new technologies and innovations so that the NHS is ready to take advantage of better treatments for patients.
The competition will be a single stage application form and will be made available on the NIHR Research Management System (RMS) from now onwards.
The deadline for applications will be 1pm 05 November 2024 (with Expression of Interest (EoI) to be submitted by 1pm 09 October 2024).
