BIVDA and its members have provided significant feedback to NHS England on the risks and challenges of the implementation of the 2027 and 2028 NHS Net Zero milestones. We were advised that there would be further industry engagement and we are encouraged to see this now commencing.
The NHS Net Zero Supplier Roadmap – Future milestone market sounding questionnaire is now live for trade bodies, suppliers and other organisations to respond to. This questionnaire is one of the engagement routes the NHS is utilising to continue an open and collaborative approach with suppliers and trade associations to provide NHSE with further insight into our sector.
BIVDA will respond to this as the Trade Association but it is important that members respond directly as the issues and challenges do vary across our membership. The questionnaire isn’t onerous and is largely multiple-choice based rather than free text.

Who should respond – trade bodies, suppliers and other organisations working on carbon monitoring and reporting (for example academic institutions).
We are advised that the feedback received through the market sounding will feed into the trade body workshops on the 2028 milestone. The first of which we will be a virtual trade body workshop on December 12th.
