By August 14, 2024No Comments

The UK’s Department for Business & Trade (DBT) invites you to join this trade mission to explore export opportunities in Argentina and Uruguay. Both have sophisticated and import-reliant MedTech markets, with opportunities across a wide variety of subsectors. Local standards are aligned with CE/FDA markings and the UK offer has a strong reputation.

With a population of 47M people, Argentina is the 2nd largest economy in South America after Brazil, and one of the leading markets in LATAM for medical devices. Uruguay is a 3.5M people market with a strong appetite for high quality devices.

The country has positioned itself as a gateway to the region, which is underpinned by its strategic location, financial benefits and political and macroeconomic stability.

This mission provides a unique opportunity to access expanding MedTech sectors in both countries.

The mission will run from 15 – 18 October, spending the first day in Buenos Aires and the final two days in Montevideo.

What the mission offers:

• Organisation of the programme;
• Economic, political and regulatory brief;
• Costs of most meals and internal transfers;
• Draft agenda includes meetings with key local stakeholders, trade associations and potential distributors;
• Access to “Ronda COCEMI” trade fair in Uruguay;
• Social media promotion.

The deadline for applications is 3 September. You must RSVP to uktrade.uruguay@fcdo.gov.uk; Viviana.Morales@fcdo.gov.uk; marisa.leoncini@fcdo.gov.uk, and include the following information displayed in the graphic below:
