NHS England’s Sustainability team have released a practical suite of resources to help suppliers to meet and exceed the net zero and sustainability requirements set out in the NHS Net Zero Supplier Roadmap.
What is the Sustainable Supplier Accelerator?
The Supplier Sustainable Supplier Accelerator is a series of free webinar events, activities and supporting resources created by NHS England’s Net Zero and Sustainable Procurement team which aims to support suppliers in their sustainability journeys.
What are the aims of the Sustainable Supplier Accelerator and how will it benefit and support suppliers?
The Sustainable Supplier Accelerator aims to:
- Enable suppliers to gain critical sustainability knowledge and skills and take action towards a sustainable future.
- Enable suppliers to understand:
- NHS policy requirements and how to meet them
- good practice and how to go beyond minimum requirements
- Provide access to and examples of good practice to inspire action and innovation
What will the accelerator cover?
The topics and scheduled activities align to the objectives of the NHS Net Zero and Sustainable Procurement programme and the NHS Net Zero Supplier Roadmap. Events and resources are organised to represent a typical supplier sustainability journey.
The accelerator aims to build supplier knowledge, skills and confidence in key areas of sustainability and reporting. Suppliers can engage with as much or as little of the accelerator, as needed. The accelerator will cover topics such as emissions accounting and target setting as well as share related good practice.
Who can access the information?
The Sustainable Supplier Accelerator is open to all current and future NHS suppliers. Some activities and resources may be more relevant to suppliers of a particular industry or size.
How do suppliers access the information?
Notification of all activities and links to available resources will be communicated via NHS England’s Commercial and GNHS monthly bulletins.
