By March 3, 2026March 4th, 2026No Comments

The British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) has launched a Singapore Life Sciences Trade Accelerator, set to help up to 30 SMEs across the life sciences sector enter the South-East Asian market.

Singapore has been selected for this pilot scheme as it comprises 40% of UK–Southeast Asia trade.

The end-to-end delivery support offered by the Trade Accelerator will include:

  • Targeted export bootcamps and investor-readiness training
  • Regulatory and compliance preparation
  • Direct mentoring from commercial and financial partners
  • A high-impact Singapore trade mission
  • Buyer, investor and government matchmaking
  • Structured post-mission deal conversion support

You can find out more by attending a webinar delivered by UK Trade Envoy George Freeman MP and other UK trade experts on Monday 9th March at 9am – 10:15am.

You can register for the webinar here.

You can also read more about the Trade Accelerator here.

BCC will also lead a closed-door session on business opportunities and the regulatory landscape in Singapore with Singapore’s Economic Development Board (EDB) and Health Sciences Authority (HSA).

This session will provide valuable perspectives on leveraging Singapore’s strategic advantages and navigating regulatory pathways for life science companies looking to expand in the Asia-Pacific region. EDB will share about Singapore’s life sciences ecosystem as well as how companies can tap on Singapore’s stable business environment and skilled workforce to scale their operations in Asia.

HSA will present an overview of Singapore’s regulatory approach to healthcare products, highlighting its efforts to position regulations as a key enabler for business activity. This includes work-sharing initiatives under the Access Consortium as well as new pilots, like the regulatory innovation corridor launched in partnership with the UK’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).

These are designed to broaden and accelerate market access whilst maintaining rigorous safety standards. Participants will also be invited to share about their organisations’ activities, products, and pipeline.

This is a practical session for organisations that are:

  • seeking to expand their presence in the Asia-Pacific region
  • intending to export innovative health products to Singapore and Asia
  • interested in understanding HSA’s regulatory framework
  • exploring multi-country regulatory strategies through Access Consortium
  • looking to accelerate global registration pathways
