Department of Health and Social Care: NIHR Climate Change and Health: Adapting Health and Social Care Systems – Development Awards

The National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) invites applications for research that addresses the challenges of climate change by building resilience into the delivery of health and social care services during severe weather events. Smaller development awards will be offered initially. Their purpose is to enable research teams to come together to develop ideas with potential to help UK health and social care services to operate efficiently during extreme weather events.
Health and Social Care Delivery Research (HSDR Programme): Hospital at home/virtual wards: integration opportunities, improving service delivery and evaluating impact

The Health and Social Care Delivery Research (HSDR) Programme is interested in funding research on hospital at home (also known as virtual wards) acute care services for adults or children and young people. This funding opportunity covers optimising service design, improving service equity and delivery, evaluating the impact on health and social care, and innovations in service integration.
Invention for Innovation (i4i): THRIVE – April 2025

The NIHR Invention for Innovation (i4i) programme is accepting applications to their new researcher and clinician-led THRIVE (Translate Healthcare Research through InnoVation and Entrepreneurship) funding and training opportunity.
THRIVE aims to accelerate the translation of healthcare innovations tackling health inequalities from bench to bed, speed up patient benefit and concurrently expand the entrepreneurial mindset of researchers and clinicians.
