How the Clinical Practice Research Datalink (CPRD) can help members

By February 17, 2026No Comments

The Clinical Practice Research Datalink (CPRD) is a real-world, UK government, research service supporting retrospective and prospective public health and clinical studies (www.cprd.com). Working with GP practices and healthcare bodies across the UK, they provide anonymised healthcare data and research services that are used to improve health care delivery and inform clinical guidance.

This resource is open to industry and CPRD offers a range of data options to facilitate public health research needs. CPRD obtains legal and ethical approvals to collect pseudonymised patient data and removes all identifiable information to offer anonymised patient-level data for public health research.

Beyond the provision of data, CPRD also offers Research Services to support researchers, from advising on study design, to commissioned research, or enabling patient recruitment for clinical trials and studies.

If any members are interested in knowing more about this service, please let Kaye know in order to facilitate introductions to the group. We will also be looking to host a webinar in the near future to explain more around the service.
