Last week, BIVDA Chief Executive Helen Dent took part in panel on Accelerating Transformation: Developing Effective NHS/Industry Partnerships at the Health Innovation North Conference.
The panel followed a session with NHS CEO Sir Jim Mackey. Helen spoke alongside the likes of new OLS Executive Chair Steve Bates and North East and North Cumbria NHS ICB CEO Samantha Allen.
Helen declared that with the Government’s new plans for the NHS and life sciences sector, there is an opportunity to strengthen NHS–industry partnerships, drive open communication and collaboration, and build innovation shaped by real-world NHS needs.
Helen emphasised that by working together and fostering better understanding, partnerships will not only fuel disruptive innovation but also support day-to-day operations, boost growth, and most importantly – deliver better health outcomes across the UK.
