BIVDA Chief Executive Helen Dent and Policy and Public Affairs Executive Ben Kemp attended Welsh Labour’s annual dinner last week which featured speeches from MPs including Chief Secretary to the Treasury Darren Jones MP as well as Wales First Minister Eluned Morgan.
Hosted in Soho, the event proved an excellent opportunity to speak to technological innovators and hear more about Labour’s plans to boost economic growth in Wales.
Helen and Ben were seated at the exclusive Health and Life Sciences table alongside Secretary of State for Science, Technology and Innovation, Peter Kyle MP. In his conversation with Helen, Mr Kyle acknowledged the strength of the innovative, burgeoning medical diagnostics industry and BIVDA’s efforts to support it.
We will follow-up on our conversation in a more formal setting next week when we meet with Mr Kyle’s Parliamentary Private Secretary Callum Anderson MP in Portcullis House.
