BIVDA is seeking a new Chair and Vice Chair of the UKCA Sub-Group to help lead the group during this critical time for regulatory advocacy. This is your opportunity to help the industry navigate the MHRA’s updated UK Medical Device Regulations and other regulatory challenges.
The Chair and Vice Chair will help to:
- Organise and co-ordinate our member responses to changes to UK legislation following our the advocacy work on the UK Post Market Surveillance SI and the MHRA Fees consultation.
- Tackle the proposed Pre-Market SI and associated guidance and the future enhancements SI as it is developed.
- Support members and the BIVDA secretariat in responding to and advising the MHRA via our role as a trusted advisor.
This is a critical time to shape UK legislation that will regulate our sector for the decades to come and a significant opportunity for personal career development.
Most meetings are online and occur quarterly, making the roles convenient to undertake alongside your day job.

Tom Beale (former Chair) and Camilla Fleetcroft (former Vice Chair) will remain part of BIVDA’s working parties, but both are now taking on roles with a wider focus than just IVDs and therefore feel that it’s time to pass the roles onto new advocates for the IVD sector.
