The UK Government will run a national test of the Emergency Alerts system on Sunday 7 September 2025 at 3pm.
We have been asked by Government to spread the word by sharing this with our members to ensure the alert does not cause undue alarm.
The Emergency Alerts system is designed to warn people if there’s a danger to life nearby, such as during extreme weather. Since the first national test in April 2023, the system has been used five times to help keep people safe.
