RWE and Virtual Wards
In this 60-minute masterclass, you’ll hear Real World Evidence (RWE) expert Chris Rolfe of OPEN Health explain what RWE and virtual wards means to you in Life Sciences.
ICSs have been asked to adopt virtual wards, which were introduced in the 2022/23 priorities and operational planning guidance.
The guidance outlined the following key target:
Deliver virtual ward capacity equivalent to 40 to 50 virtual ward ‘beds’ per 100,000 population (equivalent to the delivery of up to 24,000 virtual ward beds) by December 2023.
At a minimum, NHS England expects each ICS to implement virtual ward models for two pathways: acute respiratory infection and frailty.
