The fourth round of the Regulators’ Pioneer Fund, worth £5.5 million, is now open to support innovation in high-growth sectors such as AI-powered medical software, engineered biology, satellite technology, and autonomous vehicles. The goal is to help cutting-edge products reach the public faster by streamlining outdated regulatory processes.
Delivered by the Regulatory Innovation Office, the fund enables regulators and local authorities across the UK to trial smarter, more efficient approaches to regulation. Applications are open until Thursday 31 July 2025 at 11:59pm BST.
This round builds on the success of earlier phases, which supported 24 pioneering projects across health, transport, and energy—demonstrating how regulatory reform can unlock innovation across the economy.
