
BIVDA co-sponsored the latest in a series of Moving Forward in Diagnostics events, which hosted expert speakers, including BIVDA’s own Professor Mike Messenger and our President Angela Douglas.
NHSE Scientific Advisor Dr Kerrie Davies covered the successes of the previous AMR National Action Plan before examining the detail of the 2024-2029 AMR National Action Plan.
BIVDA’s Professor Mike Messenger provided expert commentary on regulatory approval before Angela Douglas chaired an industry panel session. Including BIVDA members Biomerieux, Lumos Diagnostics and Pro-Lab, the panel focused on supporting industry to navigate the evaluation process.
Maria Mead tragically lost her son to sepsis as he did not receive a diagnosis in time. She spoke eloquently about the impact this had, and how better use of diagnostics will impact lives. Her story touched all present.
