Dr Emma Yates of BIVDA member Proteotype Diagnostics has been announced as one of the winners of Innovate UK 2025 Women in Innovation Awards.

To celebrate, Feryal Clark MP, Minister for AI and Digital Government, visited Proteotype’s facility in Cambridge.

The Minister said, “Emma is a worthy recipient of the Innovate UK Women in Innovation Award! Their work is absolutely amazing, with the potential to be life changing. I’m so excited to see how her research progresses.”

This highlights the company’s incredible work in developing a low-cost test which screens for multiple cancers. The award will also help achieve its stated aim of inspiring more women and girls to develop scientific and technological innovations.
