BIVDA member first company selected for Parliamentary Committee’s Innovation Showcase

By December 9, 2024No Comments

Parliament’s Science, Innovation and Technology Committee has launched its Innovation Showcase and we are delighted that BIVDA member AMLo Biosciences have been selected as the first participants on 17th December.

AMLo is developing prognostic and diagnostic products for early-stage skin cancers to help healthcare professionals use personalised care plans to improve patient outcomes, while saving significant NHS resources.

The showcase will allow the cross-party Parliamentary Committee to hear from innovative companies and researchers on a weekly basis, helping them to better understand the challenges and opportunities in the UK innovation landscape.

Showcase speakers will give a 5-minute presentation, covering their stories and their views on the wider operating environment, and whether they need more support from the Government and industry.

Jane Meaney, CMO, AMLo Biosciences Ltd commented: “We are so proud that AMLo has been selected as the first ever company to present to the Science, Innovation and Technology Select Committee Innovation Showcase.

“BIVDA has been vital to our progress, giving advice, support, and a bigger platform to influence change, which would be impossible on our own. Adoption of innovation in healthcare is a huge challenge, where currently, the rewards are dwarfed by the risks.”
