BIVDA welcome BSI to deliver a webinar exploring the new EU RED cybersecurity mandatory requirements came into force on 1st August 2025 and how they are interfacing with IVD cybersecurity obligations.
BSI will start by clarifying the RED updated scope, devices under scope and why IVDs are formally exempt of these new cybersecurity requirements, but still indirectly affected when their software runs on off-the-shelf IT equipment.
BSI will highlight what aspects of cybersecurity are already covered by the hardware manufacturer under RED directive and where the responsibility remains with the IVD manufacturer. BSI will discuss a practical case example and take questions from participants to ensure clarity on how to apply these requirements in practice.
