The plan outlines the agency’s key deliverables and activities to protect and improve the public’s health and reduce health inequalities. The organisation’s aims for this year are as follows:
- delivering their overarching multi-year strategy
- transforming their science and the way they use technology
- securing and driving value in all that they do
UKHSA promises to be ambitious in its use of genomics, big data and technology and intend to transform their approach in these areas in 2025.
This will include further development of their pathogen genomics capabilities with new services being developed for AMR, emerging and pandemic infectious diseases threats, and disease mitigation priorities including in areas of vaccine preventable diseases and blood borne viruses.
Laboratory processing, data performance and connectivity to the NHS to support service provision will also be enhanced.
