The deadline to submit evidence is 23:59 on Friday 9 August. We would encourage all members to make a submission.
As part of their review into NHS performance, due to report in September, DHSC and Lord Darzi have launched a call for evidence.
The consultation seeks to draw on evidence and expertise from across patient groups, academia, think tanks and the charitable sector, as well as from engaging directly with NHS staff. The following themes are of particular interest for the consultation: access to services, care pathways, biggest killers, health and wealth, workforce, finance, productivity and capital infrastructure. A full list is below and it is encouraging that a number of these areas are relevant to diagnostics.
BIVDA will be collating a response. However, given the short timescale, DHSC have imposed significant restrictions on the amount of evidence that can be supplied. There are also taut criteria for the submission format. We therefore suggest members to submit their own responses where relevant, to maximise the breadth and depth of evidence.
