A new campaign will soon launch across Spain and Germany to showcase the benefits of partnering with UK researchers, businesses and academics through Horizon Europe, the world’s largest research collaboration programme.
Worth over £82 billion and running until 2027, Horizon Europe provides access to funding and international networks to tackle global challenges — from healthcare breakthroughs to advancing artificial intelligence.
The Government believes this will provide a much-needed boost to growth and provide jobs across many desired, technical industries.
The UK is already a major Horizon player: in June, it secured 56 ERC Advanced Grants worth £120 million — more than any other country.
By strengthening links with Spanish and German researchers, the campaign will help build successful funding bids, open new markets, and unlock further opportunities in science and industry. The announcement has coincided with the Spanish Prime Minister’s visit to London this week.
