Peter Alcock, Department for Business and Trade is the Lead on enforcement of UK RoHS and WEEE. At the recent BIVDA Environmental Working Party, Peter agreed to speak directly to any members who have questions regarding UK RoHS or WEEE compliance, where companies do not want to share issues with BIVDA.
Peter stressed that pragmatic approach being taken by the department in enforcing compliance in these topic areas, especially where the UK maybe behind changes in EU legislation, and CE mark is continuing to be used for product conformity to RoHS.
