The Producer Responsibility Obligations (Packaging Waste) Amendment (Scotland) Regulations 2023 will come into force on 01 January 2024. These Regulations amend the Producer Responsibility Obligations (Packaging Waste) Regulations 2007 (S.I. 2007/871). Those Regulations impose obligations on producers to recycle packaging waste in order to attain overall recycling and material-specific targets.
