Reprocessors and exporters were required to submit their application to register and pay the registration charge by 1 October 2025. The 1 October was a mandatory deadline for registration. Environmental regulators will accept submissions after this date however, failure to register is an offence so you should submit your applications as soon as possible. If you wish to issue PRNs and PERNs from January 2026, you should also have submitted and paid for your accreditation application by 1 October 2025. Failure to submit accreditation applications could result in you being unable to issue PRNs and PERNs from 1 January 2026. An application form must be completed for each material, at each site if you are a reprocessor, and for each material if you are an exporter. This applies to both registration and accreditation. You must use your organisation number on each of your forms. If you have not yet submitted your applications, it is in your best interests to do so as soon as possible.
