PackUK have updated the guidance on the Packaging Extended Producer Responsibility and RAM on the gov.uk site. This includes specific information related to medical device packaging.
After a positive reception of the RAM one-pager guidance notes, PackUK is now releasing part two of the RAM support package: the Supplementary Guidance♻️
The Supplementary Guidance is designed to further support producers in completing their RAM assessments by providing additional insights on particular elements of the RAM, along with technical specifications and practical examples.
It covers details on the materials categories in the RAM and the Stages of Recyclability, as well as information on testing, compliance and general principles and applicability.
Producers highlighted the need for timely and practical support to enable accurate RAM reporting in 2025 – we are publishing the Supplementary Guidance today as a direct response to valuable industry feedback.
