BIVDA is a member of the Joint Trade Association who work on aspects such as the WEEE compliance scheme.
As part of the WEEE compliance fee, some money is provided to Material Focus to promote the wider recycling of electrical waste in the UK.
As part of the campaign, the Pink HypnoCat seen on billboards and TV adverts will be back on 14th October promoting international waste critical materials day – and Material Focus will be repeating it’s recycle electrical cables campaign.
If you would like to receive promotional materials or get involved in helping promote the campaign either internally within your own organisation or more widely to your users, then send Neil an email to regulatory@bivda.org.uk and he can provide contact details.
The campaign focuses on having a clear-out of that junk draw or cupboard either at home or in the office that we all have with old electricals and cables that are no longer of use. Material Focus are also keen to work with member companies who whish to promote success they have had in promoting or undertaking the collection and recycling of WEEE more widely and can help with marketing materials on this topic.
