We are writing to inform you that following today’s ECHA PFAS discussion in the Socio-Economic Impact Assessment Committee (SEAC), ECHA has just published a press release outlining the following additional timelines (link):
- ECHA’s RAC/SEAC committees plan to adopt their first draft opinions in the plenary of March 2026
- The SEAC 60-day public consultation will be launched immediately after that
- To support interested parties in preparing for the consultation, ECHA will hold an online information session on 30 October 2025. More details about this event will be provided on ECHA’s website
- After reviewing the consultation feedback, SEAC is expected to adopt its final opinion by the end of 2026 (November/December is the target).
